Job Description
The Dome School — Takilma, Oregon (Illinois Valley, Josephine County) On-call, as needed • Monday-Thursday • $15.55/hour The Dome School is a small parent-teacher cooperative serving families in the Illinois Valley. We're looking for reliable substitute teachers who enjoy working with elementary-aged children and can step in to support our classrooms as needed. Responsibilities Follow the lesson plans and routines left by the classroom teacher. Supervise students throughout the day and ensure their safety. Maintain a positive, respectful classroom. Leave notes for the returning teacher on what was covered and how the day went. What we're looking for Experience working with elementary-aged children (preferred). Dependability and good communication — we need to know quickly whether you can take a day. Comfort stepping into an unfamiliar classroom. Background check required. Reliable transportation; the school is in a rural setting.
