Job Description

Opportunity:
Propel Pitcairn School is currently seeking a Long-Term Substitute Teacher. The position requires Bachelor's Degree.
Key Job Elements:
Instructs scholars and groups in specified content areas. Monitors students' progress in and outside of the classroom. Maintains the physical environment of the classroom. Carries out lesson plans that were either left by the classroom teacher or rolls out pre-planned lessons appropriate for grade level and Subject area. Provides support to scholar overall learning when not assigned to a specific classroom, including but not limited to duties coverage, working with small groups of students, etc.
Successful candidates will have:
High level of personal organization and planning Strong communication and relationship building skills Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development A commitment to the Promising Principles of Propel Strong interpersonal skills, cultural competency, high degree of emotional intelligence and self-awareness with the ability to reflect and adapt to diverse environments.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree DTD Substitutes who do not hold a PA certification will be required to obtain a PA DTD Emergency Certification for the year and LEA associated with employment. 1+ years working with students in a classroom environment preferred.

Arrest and Conviction Disclosure Daily Rate:
$220/day.
