Job Description
Maternity Leave Dance Instructor Temporary Position with Potential for Ongoing Teaching Miss Autumn's Dance Class | Quakertown, PA Miss Autumn's Dance Class is looking for one or more experienced, caring dance instructors to join our teaching team during a maternity leave beginning approximately mid-to-late November 2026 and continuing through January 2027 , with the possibility of an extension. There may also be an opportunity for the right teacher to continue with our studio beyond the maternity leave through substitute teaching, summer classes, or a future permanent teaching position. You do not need to be available for the entire schedule. While we would love to find one teacher who can cover multiple evenings, qualified teachers who are available for only one evening or specific genres are strongly encouraged to apply. Classes Needing Coverage Mondays | 5:15-8:45 PM Hip Hop Level 3 — 5:15-6:00 PM Modern Level 3 — 6:00-7:00 PM Modern Level 4 — 7:00-8:00 PM Hip Hop Level 4 — 8:00-8:45 PM Tuesdays | 5:15-8:00 PM Jazz Levels 2, 3 & 4 — three consecutive classes Thursdays | 5:15-8:00 PM Tap Levels 2, 3 & 4 — three consecutive classes Our Level 2-4 students range from approximately 9-18 years old . What We're Looking For We are looking for a teacher who can walk into an established classroom and provide a strong, meaningful technique class . This is not simply a position for supervising rehearsals or running choreography. Our students should continue learning and progressing while their regular teacher is away. Teaching experience is preferred, although we are open to considering a strongly trained dancer who has the maturity, communication skills, and natural ability to work well with children and teens.
