Job Description

We are looking for a motivated Substitute Learning Leader to provide backup support teachers who are absent from work. Duties of the Substitute Learning Leader include implementing lesson plans and learning objectives set by Learning Leaders and provide the monitoring of students, classroom management, and facilitation of classroom activities. You may also be responsible for filing reports and assigning and checking homework.
The ideal candidate should have:
  • Relevant classroom experience (preferred)
  • Passion for teaching and strong leadership capabilities
  • Outstanding communication skills and excellent classroom management skills
  • Must pass criminal background search and drug screening
  • Associate's degree in education or any related field If you have previous experience in the education field, we'd like to meet you!
Ultimately, a successful Substitute Learning Leader will assume responsibility for a class and perform all the tasks of the absent Learning Leader. Success in this role will be demonstrated by providing excellent instructional and classroom management service throughout the absence of the full-time Learning Leader.
Responsibilities:
Reviews and implements lesson plans Mentors and engages students Gives clear instructions and helps students understand the lesson Maintains discipline and control of the classroom Fosters a safe and nurturing learning atmosphere Records and grades quizzes, homework, projects, and exams Observes and follows school policies
Requirements:
Relevant classroom experience preferred Valid Teaching Certification or Substitute Teacher Clearance (Preferred, but not required) Passion for teaching and strong leadership capabilities Outstanding communication skills and excellent classroom management skills Must pass criminal background search and drug screening Associate's degree in education or any related field
