Job Description

Campus Adventures and our sister brands provide a wide range of support services throughout school districts and charter schools in Texas. We offer before and after-school programming, STEAM Enrichment, temporary staffing, tutoring services, professional development, and more. At Campus Adventures Staffing Solutions, our Guest Teachers have an amazing opportunity to impact a child's future. Join our energetic and knowledgeable team this fall semester and grow with us. We are seeking dedicated and reliable substitute teachers to join our team. As a substitute teacher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a positive and productive learning environment in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. Your responsibilities will include delivering lesson plans, managing classroom behavior, and ensuring a smooth continuation of the curriculum.
Duties:
Provide instruction and guidance to students in the absence of the regular teacher Follow lesson plans and ensure continuity of learning Maintain a safe and positive classroom environment Implement classroom management strategies to promote student engagement and behavior management Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the individual needs of students Collaborate with other staff members to support student success Provide feedback to the regular classroom teacher regarding student progress and any issues that arise during your assignment. Complete all training required by TEA.
Experience:
Previous experience in childcare, early childhood education, tutoring, or related fields is preferred Familiarity with math, literacy education, and lesson planning is beneficial Experience working with students of various ages and abilities, including preschool and special education students, is a plus Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively engage with students
Qualifications:
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; higher education in education or related field is a plus Ability to pass a background check Strong writing, reading and communication skills in English Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively manage a classroom and maintain discipline. Flexibility and adaptability to work in different grade levels and subject areas. Prior experience working with students in an educational setting is preferred. Physical Abilities Needed to Perform the Assignment Ability to lift and carry 40 Lbs Be able to remain active for up to 8 hours consecutively, and have the ability to kneel, crouch, or sit comfortably Visually and audibly able to monitor the classrooms and students and navigate for emergencies. Have the physical ability to perform CPR To be able to move swiftly in emergency situations
