Qualifications:
College hours for Title I campus 48 required or a score of 464 on the ParaPro test
College hours, high school diploma or GED for Non-Title I campus Knowledge of filing system
Good physical condition
Enthusiasm for sports
General office skills
General office machines including computer
Ability to work with children
Paraprofessional aide certificate required once employed

Additional Qualification for
Title I Campus:
College hours, 48 minimum or score of 464 on the ParaPro test
Primary Purpose:
Assist the physical education teacher with instructional needs as appropriate for the grade and subject area.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in instructional activities: exercising, demonstrating games, and monitoring children.
Organize equipment needed for daily activities.
Perform secretarial duties for the P.E.
department:
typing, filing, grading, and recording tests.
Keep bulletin boards up-dated.
Monitor locker room before and after class.
Assist with up-dating gradebooks, recording roll, recording scores, and discipline marks.
Bus duty before and/or after school.
Supervise students when assigned.
Working Conditions:
Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, and lifting.
