Job Description

Job Description:
Campus Adventures Staffing Solutions is currently sourcing SPED Certified Substitute Teachers for public charter schools in the Harlingen (RGV) area. This role may include long-term or daily substitute opportunities based on campus needs and candidate availability.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver instruction aligned with provided lesson plans and IEP accommodations Support students with academic, behavioral, and functional needs Maintain a structured, safe, and supportive classroom environment Implement behavior management strategies and reinforcement systems Adapt instruction and materials based on student needs Collaborate with teachers, aides, and campus staff Track student progress and communicate updates as needed Ensure compliance with all SPED-related requirements and expectations
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (Required) Special Education Certification (Required) Dyslexia Certification (Preferred, not required) Previous experience working in SPED classrooms strongly preferred Strong communication and classroom management skills Ability to work with students across various grade levels and abilities Ability to pass a background check (up to $50 non-refundable fee)
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs Ability to remain active for extended periods (up to 8 hours) Ability to kneel, crouch, and move quickly when needed Ability to visually and audibly monitor students and respond in emergencies Ability to perform CPR if required
