A Substitute Teacher teaches or supervises classes for teachers who are away on leave or sick. May substitute for teachers at several different schools or school districts. May substitute for one day or for a longer term absence; may follow lesson plans developed by the regular teacher, or work with teacher who will be out to create new lesson plans and assignments.

Job Description
Substitute teachers perform the instructional and classroom management processes for teachers who are absent. Duties include providing instructions, interpreting lesson plans, taking attendance, explaining homework, and maintaining classroom cleanliness. Must have the ability to communicate, inspire trust and confidence, and motivate students to do their daily work. Must be organized, dependable, patient, and creative. Substitute must be able to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with teachers, support staff and parents. To work at TCS - one must be a born again Christian and faithfully attend and financially support a local church whose fundamental beliefs are in agreement with Trinity's beliefs.
