Job Summary Substitute Teacher Openings for the 2026-2027 School Year The Montessori School of San Antonio seeks qualified individuals to assist in the absence of classroom teachers for students ages 3 - 14. Substitutes assume responsibilities in the classroom depending on the grade level and/or subject as outlined in the policies of the school. The mission of The Montessori School of San Antonio is to guide children to be passionate learners, independent thinkers, and engaged citizens. The Montessori learning environment is organized around mixed-age grouping to provide rich peer stimulus and continuity in the learning process, taking into account the young student's need for extended sensorial exploration and the older student's need for uninterrupted blocks of time for academic projects. Requirements Prior experience working as a substitute with children in a school setting. AND/OR Background in Montessori education.
