Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Substitute Teacher to join our educational team! Duties Implement lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher, ensuring continuity of instruction across subjects such as math, literacy, and creative writing. Manage classroom activities and organize instructional materials to promote engaging and productive learning experiences. Maintain classroom behavior management strategies to create a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all students. Adapt instructional approaches to meet the diverse needs of learners, including those with disabilities or developmental challenges such as autism or other special education needs. Support early childhood education principles and childcare routines to foster social-emotional development in younger students. Collaborate with school staff on curriculum development and implementation to enhance instructional effectiveness. Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents to ensure clarity around student progress and classroom expectations. Qualifications Prior classroom experience or background in early childhood education, special education, or literacy education is highly desirable. Demonstrated skills in curriculum development, lesson planning, and curriculum implementation across various subjects. Experience working with children with disabilities, including those with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt instruction based on individual student needs. Knowledge of behavior management techniques and classroom activity organization strategies. Excellent communication skills coupled with a passion for mentoring and supporting student growth. Background in Montessori, private school environments, or creative writing is a plus.
