Job Description

Substitute Teacher at Long Trail SchoolLong Trail School is seeking reliable, flexible, and caring substitute teachers to support our students and faculty when teachers are absent. Substitute teachers help maintain a positive and productive learning environment by following lesson plans, supervising students, facilitating classroom activities, and ensuring continuity of learning.
Responsibilities:
Follow lesson plans and directions provided by classroom teachersSupervise and support students in grades 612Maintain a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environmentTake attendance and communicate any important concerns or information to the appropriate faculty or administratorSupport students with classwork and activities as neededBe flexible and willing to support different classes and grade levels
Qualifications:
Experience working with children or adolescents preferredStrong communication and classroom management skillsDependable, flexible, and professionalAbility to create a supportive and respectful environment for studentsA bachelor's degree or teaching experience is preferred but not requiredSubstitute teaching at Long Trail School is an opportunity to become part of a close-knit school community and support students and teachers in meaningful ways.
