Many paraprofessional opportunities are available at the elementary, middle, and high school levels for academic Special Education needs. You MUST apply through WECAN and also complete the information at the URL above to be considered for a summer school position. This will allow you to specify which positions and school(s) you are interested in for this summer.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 1.
Treat all students, staff, parents and others encountered on the job with respect, compassion and patience. 2.Assist teacher in:
Maintaining classroom organization Providing support in an inclusion setting Reinforcing previously taught concepts as prescribed by the teacher in an individual or small group setting Preparing teaching materials, performing clerical responsibilities and making bulletin boards under teacher direction. 3. Perform and maintain behavior management techniques as directed by the teacher (including corrective action with physically aggressive students). 4. Follow district, building, and departmental policies and procedures. 5. Maintain confidentiality of information about students. 6. Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students. 7. Participate in community outings including use of the Oshkosh Public Transportation System. 8.
