Job Description

Central Wisconsin Christian School in Waupun, WI is seeking faithful and flexible Long-Term Substitute Teachers to provide instructional support in the absence of regular classroom teachers. Substitutes are responsible for implementing lesson plans, managing classroom behavior, and maintaining a respectful, Christ-centered learning environment across various grade levels (K-12). Ideal candidates hold or are eligible for a Wisconsin Short-Term Substitute License or have a four-year college degree, demonstrate strong classroom management and communication skills, and are committed to the mission and values of Christian education. This is an as-needed position that requires adaptability, dependability, and a heart for serving students both academically and spiritually. Deliver instruction based on lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher. Maintain classroom order and promote a safe, respectful, and Christ-centered learning environment. Communicate effectively with students, staff, and administration. Adapt to a variety of grade levels and subject areas, ranging from Kindergarten through 12th grade. Supervise students during class time, transitions, and, if applicable, recess or lunch periods. Follow all school procedures, schedules, and classroom routines as directed. Report any incidents, concerns, or necessary follow-ups to school leadership. All other duties as assigned. Holds or is eligible for a Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Long-Term Substitute License or possesses a four-year college degree. Demonstrates a personal commitment to the Christian faith and aligns with the mission and values of Central Wisconsin Christian School. Exhibits strong classroom management, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work independently and respond effectively to classroom dynamics. Prior teaching or substitute teaching experience is preferred, though not required.
