SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Student-focused with an understanding of the developmental needs of students. Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to positively interact with high school age students. Respect for the confidentiality of information associated with schools and students. Excellent computer skills with an emphasis on Google. Must be dependable and able to perform job duties effectively. Demonstrates a basic mastery of language arts, mathematics, and science skills.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
Assists instructional personnel with the presentation of learning materials and instructional exercises. Oversees and supervises students in classroom activities, study halls, or independent learning centers. Assists personnel, as may be directed, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient work environment.
REQUIREMENTS
Have obtained an associate (or higher) degree, OR Have at least two years of post-secondary education that is equivalent to at least 48 semester hours from an accredited higher education institution, OR Have met a rigorous standard of quality and be able to demonstrate knowledge of and the ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics (or, as appropriate, reading readiness, writing readiness, and mathematics readiness) by taking and passing one of the required assessments.
