Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION
To provide for general and specific health needs of students. To assist teachers and students in the special education program with daily instructional activities, non-instructional activities and student management and care as directed by the teacher.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
(1) completed two years of study (48 semester hours) at an institution of higher education or (2) obtained an associates (or higher) degree or (3) meet a rigorous standard of quality through formal assessment and (4) Graduation from an accredited licensed practical nursing program. License from the Alabama Board of Nursing to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Minimum of one-year experience in an area related to job's primary function and major responsibilities preferred; such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
May be required to ride Special Needs bus route.
SALARY:
Salary Schedule adopted by the Lawrence County Board of Education for the effective date of employment.
CONTRACT LENGTH
9-month (187 days)
