Anticipated Instructional Aide

INSTRUCTIONAL AIDE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must hold a secondary school diploma or its recognized equivalent and one of the following qualifications: Successful completion of at least 2 years (48 semester hours) of study at an institution of higher learning OR An Associate's Degree documented on an official transcript from an accredited institution of higher education OR Successfully pass the WorkKeys Assessment with a minimum of Level 3 scores on the following tests: Applied Mathematics; Work Place Documents; and Business Writing Good public relations skills Ability to understand the unique needs and learning characteristics of students Ability to meet the suitability criteria for employment and/or certification licensure under the Alabama Child Protection Act of 1999 and Act No. 2002-457 Ability to work collaboratively as a team member with large and/or diverse groups. Physical strength, mobility, dexterity, stamina, and acuity to perform job responsibilities. Ability to lift 50 pounds Proficiency in oral, written, and electronic communications and able to use various technological devices/software to perform job Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may require
