All Reports to: Building Principal(s) The Ozark School District is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Paraprofessional. Successful applicants must meet the following criteria to be included in consideration as a candidate. Have a love for children of all ages and backgrounds and their learning Willingness to work directly under principal/instructional facilitator/classroom teachers Willingness to perform duties as directed and related to student service including training for special health care needs and dyslexia intervention. Hold an associate's (or higher) degree from an institution of higher education OR completed two years of study from an institution of higher learning OR successful completion of a parapro exam. Provide resume (with references), transcript, and record of any previous training pertaining to student and/or health services. Some specialized trainings will be required and provided by the school district Services will be provided for students both inside and outside of the classroom settings Support staff will be used for students' physical health through supervision of students during physical activities, social-emotional health by assisting in the alternative learning environment setting, and to support learning needs through intervention in the regular education classrooms. This job requires standing, bending, and close student contact as needed. Paraprofessionals will be used to provide direct student support and continuous learning opportunities that help prepare students for grade-level learning Paraprofessionals will be used to assist educators in meeting students' academic and wellness needs through differentiated instruction, assisting with individualized instruction, healthcare needs, and by providing intervention and supervision of students. Paraprofessionals for these positions must possess the following qualities: professional, organized, adaptable, kind, calming, understanding, and optimistic and positive.
