Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Preschool Teacher to support early childhood education in a nurturing classroom environment. The ideal candidate will assist in implementing curriculum plans, fostering a positive learning atmosphere, and supporting the developmental needs of young children. Experience with children, classroom management, and early childhood education principles are essential to help promote literacy, math skills, social-emotional development, and inclusive practices for children with diverse needs, including those with autism and disabilities. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of young learners in a licensed daycare or private school setting. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in planning and executing engaging lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including curriculum development for literacy, math, and behavior management. Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment conducive to learning and play. Provide individualized attention to children, including toddlers and preschoolers, supporting their social, emotional, and cognitive development. Implement activities that promote inclusive education for children with autism or disabilities, utilizing techniques such as Montessori or other specialized approaches. Foster positive behavior through effective behavior management strategies and encourage social skills among children. Support classroom routines such as circle time, snack time, nap time, and outdoor activities while ensuring safety protocols are followed. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a collaborative approach to child development. Assist in documenting children's progress and participating in team meetings focused on curriculum planning and developmental assessments. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is highly desirable. Knowledge of early childhood development principles, including literacy education, math fundamentals, behavior management, and classroom management techniques. Experience working with children with special needs such as autism or disabilities is preferred. Familiarity with curriculum development methods such as Montessori or other early childhood education frameworks. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment supporting inclusive practices for diverse learners. Certification or coursework in early childhood education or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory.
