In this vital role, you will support classroom teachers by assisting with lesson implementation, managing classroom activities, and providing personalized support to students with diverse learning needs. Responsibilities Assist classroom teachers in delivering engaging lessons aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy education, math, and early childhood education strategies. Support students with special needs, including those with autism or disabilities, by implementing specialized educational plans and behavior management techniques. Help create a nurturing environment by managing classroom routines, behavior management, and maintaining a positive atmosphere conducive to learning. Provide one-on-one or small group instruction to reinforce lesson concepts, particularly in literacy, math, and preschool activities. Support classroom organization by preparing materials, setting up learning stations, and assisting with lesson planning under teacher supervision. Foster social-emotional development through effective communication skills and encouraging positive interactions among students. Collaborate with teachers and specialists to develop curriculum adaptations that meet the needs of diverse learners, including toddlers and preschool-aged children. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in educational settings such as daycare, preschool, private schools, or similar environments. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices. Experience with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies. Familiarity with special education concepts, including working with individuals with autism or disabilities. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and students. Ability to assist in lesson planning and curriculum development tailored to various age groups from toddlers to preschoolers. Demonstrated patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm for working with children of diverse backgrounds and needs.
