LOCATION
Maumelle Charter Middle School - 900 Edgewood Drive - Maumelle, AR 72113 Academics Plus Charter Schools, Inc. (APCSI) is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Paraprofessional grades 4-7. The position of the Paraprofessional is to assist in providing a well-organized, smooth functioning classroom environment in which all children can take full advantage of the instructional program and available resource material.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma with at least 60 college hours or Associate Degree or have passed the ParaPro Praxis Exam.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrate a relentless commitment to the academic achievement of all students. Maintain professional behavior, appearance, and work ethic to represent the school in a positive manner at all times. Articulate a positive image of the school and personnel. Assist the teacher in preparing instructional materials, classroom displays, and instructional activities. Work with individual students or small groups to conduct instructional exercises assigned by the teacher. Assist with the administration and scoring of objective testing instruments or work assignments. Assist in supervising students throughout the school day, both inside and outside the classroom, including cafeteria, bus duty, and playground. Keep the teacher informed of any special needs or problems of individual students. Assist in maintaining a neat and orderly classroom. Assist in inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment. Assist the teacher in keeping administrative records and preparing required reports. Communicate positively with students, parents, visitors and staff. Maintain a positive attitude and represent the school in a positive manner at all times. Effectively and positively communicate orally and in writing. Other duties as assigned by principals.

Physical Demands :
Frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling and pushing; move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom equipment.
