Aug 5, 2026 Job Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities Monitor children in the classroom, lunch room, bathroom area, hallways, and during recess time Assist a certified teacher with teaching as directed Prepare curriculum materials and activities for instruction Implementing small group instruction, including proper usage of programs Help with maintaining a safe/clean classroom Provide students with content area intervention either one on one or in small group settings as directed by principal. Oversee the operation of the computer lab not limited to repairs, program installation, and daily maintenance. Assist with other classes as directed by supervisor and/or principal Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Clean background check Pass Paraprofessional Assessment at hire or have 60 college hours Participate in required Paraprofessional module trainings provided by ADE Physical requirements• Be able to stand a minimum of 80% of your scheduled shift Be able to walk short distances to escort children between classrooms and activities Be able to lean, reach, bend, lift and squat to help children and co-workers Be able to walk on uneven surfaced (playground) Be able to walk up and down stairs Be outside in all weather conditions for assigned duty. This includes recess, before school drop offs and after school pick- ups. •Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
