We're not a traditional school — and we're proud of it. The Role We're looking for an Assistant Teacher to join the team at our Maricopa campus. As an AT, you'll work as a para-professional alongside our two lead teachers, supporting students throughout the school day in a close-knit, dynamic learning environment. This is a hands-on, relationship-driven role. You won't be grading worksheets in the back of the room — you'll be in the thick of it, helping students work through real projects, navigate challenges, and build the skills they'll carry far beyond middle school. What You'll Do Support lead teachers throughout the school day across instructional and non-instructional activities Work directly with students individually and in small groups to reinforce learning Help facilitate project-based learning activities and keep students on track Build genuine relationships with students and contribute to a positive, growth-oriented campus culture Assist with classroom logistics, transitions, and day-to-day campus operations Collaborate closely with the teaching team to support student success What We're Looking For A genuine love for working with middle schoolers (grades 3-8) Patience, flexibility, and a growth mindset — this is not a traditional school setting Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds Reliability and a team-first attitude; our small campuses depend on every person showing up Prior experience working with children or youth in any capacity is a plus A high school diploma or equivalent is required; some college coursework in education or a related field preferred
