About Hope Academy Hope Academy serves students on the autism spectrum from Kindergarten through 12th grade. We pride ourselves on offering a truly unique educational experience that goes beyond traditional classrooms. Our programs include weekly animal therapy (featuring alpacas, miniature horses, and therapy dogs), music, physical education, Special Olympics, clubs, cooking classes, and frequent field trips. We celebrate our students and go above and beyond for holidays and school-wide events, ensuring every child experiences joy, growth, and success. As a Special Education Teacher Aide , you will play a vital role in helping our students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.Position Overview:
Special Education Teacher Aide Serve as a positive role model for all students Support students in small-group and whole-class instruction Follow and assist with teacher-provided lesson plans Assist students during specials such as music therapy, P.E, cooking, field trips, and school events Implement redirection strategies and behavior support Assist with data tracking and behavioral documentation Support teachers with daily classroom activities Drive or co-drive Hope Academy vans as needed Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum 1 year of experience working with individuals on the Autism Spectrum IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (or ability to obtain) CPR & First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain) Ability to pass background and reference checks Valid driver's license in good standingPreferred Experience:
Special Education experience (2+ years preferred) Classroom experience (2+ years preferred) Direct Care Provider experience (1+ year preferred) Why Join Hope Academy?
