A Teacher Assistant assists classroom teachers by providing extra individual attention and instruction to students. Helps teachers with recordkeeping, preparation for lessons and activities and supervising students. May work with special education students, or work in a school library or computer lab; may be called teacher aide or paraprofessional.

Job Description
Para educator to work in small groups or individually with students with special needs in a private school setting in a highly supportive environment. One year of experience working in special education preferred. Must have fingerprint clearance or ability to pass IVP. CPR/First Aid training preferred. Must have the ability to lift and support students at times for positioning and transfers. Experience with behavior support preferred in a high needs environment preferred.
