Qualifications and Experience:

Experience as a paraprofessional, teachers aide, instructional assistant, or similar role in a school setting Comfortable contributing to classroom management and supporting students with a variety of needs Collaborative mindset, able to partner effectively with teachers, therapists, and other school staff Strong communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide students in both individual and group settings Flexibility and adaptability to work with diverse learners and adjust to changing classroom dynamics High school diploma or equivalent required; some districts may require completion of a Paraprofessional Exam or college coursework

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct support to students under the guidance of certified teaching staff Assist with classroom activities, academic tasks, and classroom organization Offer encouragement and support to students to foster independence and engagement Help implement individualized education plans (IEPs) or other learning accommodations Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, and during transitions as needed Maintain confidentiality with student information and demonstrate professionalism at all times
