Preschool Teacher's Aide Gethsemane Church and Academy Tempe, AZ Job Details Part-time | Full-time $15 - $18 an hour 18 hours ago Qualifications Student supervision Interpersonal skills Daycare experience High school diploma or GED Working with students Classroom responsibilities management Full Job Description Gethsemane Christian Academy is seeking a caring, creative, and faith-driven Preschool Teacher Aide responsible for working with and supporting the Preschool Classroom Teacher to help ensure that the classroom learning environment is Christian-based, nurturing, wholesome and loving. The Preschool Classroom Teacher Aid is committed to his/her work as a God-given ministry, with the motivation to please God and bring honor to Him. Responsibilities Efficiently work with and lead alongside Preschool Classroom Teachers Assist the teacher in facilitating the learning environment and implementing daily lesson plans Assist the teacher in implementing positive, age-appropriate classroom management and discipline procedures In conjunction with the teacher facilitate small group learning experiences for the children Attend staff meetings, in-service days and special events as required by the Director Understand and implement all building emergency procedures and state regulations regarding the care and education of young children Be an active, engaged member of the school community and attend/serve at school-wide, events Demonstrate teachability and receptiveness to feedback Perform other duties as necessary Qualifications High School Diploma, GED or higher education is required. Possess and model a growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ and live a Christian life that reflects that authenticity Desire to teach and/or to serve children within a Christian education environment Accept and uphold the values and beliefs as found in Gethsemane Christian Academy's Statement of Faith, Mission and Vision Statement Seamlessly and deliberately integrate Biblical truth and Christian values into daily work Be relationally involved in the lives of our students and demonstrate a willing servant's heart Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment and to react with discretion under varying conditions Ability to multi-task, work as a member of a team and be able to communicate effectively both written and verbally Have excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly and professional demeanor
