Job Description

POSITION INFORMATION

Assist the Special Education teacher with classroom activities specifically designed to meet the individual needs of students.

REQUIREMENTS

Associates of Arts degree or two years of post secondary education (60 credit hours) from an accredited college/university or proof of passing score on ParaPro Test, a valid Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card, Immunization Record (MMR) and Tuberculosis (TB Test).

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Presents skills reinforcements or guides independent study activities to individuals or small groups of students as directed by the teacher;
  • Familiarizes self with instructional materials to be used and learns how to use them properly;
  • Maintains a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students;
  • Perform duties or requirements that are outlined in a students Individual Education Plan (IEP);
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the Principal/Administrator of Special Programs.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Ten-month, Full Time Position, beginning salary Grade 3 on the Classified Salary Schedule.
