Table:
Experience as a school-based Paraprofessional or Behavior Specialist Understanding of positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS) Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, educators, and families Ability to remain calm, resourceful, and patient in dynamic classroom settings Commitment to fostering an inclusive and respectful learning environment 26/27 BI Renewal experience strongly preferred High school diploma or equivalent required; additional behavioral certifications are an asset
Your Responsibilities:
Assist students individually and in groups, reinforcing instructional and behavioral plans Support the implementation of behavior intervention strategies in the classroom Collect and record data on student progress and behavioral incidents Work closely with teachers and specialists to adapt materials and strategies to student needs Help students develop appropriate social skills and self-management techniques Participate in meetings and collaborate on Individualized Education Plan (IEP) teams as needed Foster a safe, welcoming atmosphere for all students and staff Enjoy the
