- CPR/First Aid
- Must meet
NCLB/ESSA
requirements for paraprofessionals working in Title I Schools to include:- Two years of college (48) units, OR
- A.A. degree (or higher), OR
- Pass a local assessment of knowledge and skills in assisting in instruction
- One year of experience working with elementary, middle or high school students in an organized setting OR
- Any combination of education, training, and/or experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the essential duties may be substituted for the required experience. Examples of other education, training and/or experience could include (but is not limited to):
- Child development or education course work and/or associate's degree in education or related field
- Volunteer experience working with school age children
- Other experience working with school age children
