About this position This position is responsible for general clerical support to staff in Options for Learning's Nutrition Programs. This position will also fill in for drivers, transporting food from Options for Learning's central kitchen to center-based sites, on an as needed basis. This is a temporary, non-benefitted position with an expected duration of two to six months. What you'll be doing Accurately filing, tracking, and processing Nutrition Program paperwork as needed and as directed; Accurately preparing Nutrition Program paperwork for drivers, packers, and sites; Preparing transport records for deliveries, per Nutrition Program requirements; Driving the organization van in a safe, responsible manner; Sorting and organizing packing slips and invoices; Assisting the Nutrition Program Manager as needed; Maintaining current and accurate records while maintaining confidentiality; Maintaining the organization van in clean operating condition and notifying the Nutrition Center Manager of the need for repair or servicing; Preparing and maintaining transport records according to Nutrition Program requirements; Accepting food deliveries as needed; Maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment; Following basic health standards regarding the handling of food; Accurately completing all assigned paperwork and documentation in a timely manner, according to organization policies and procedures; Actively participating in the annual in-service training; Abiding by all of Options for Learning's policies and procedures. Performing other duties as assigned. What you bring to the table One year of general clerical experience; Five years of driving experience; A California driver's license, daily use of an automobile, and automobile, liability insurance; Must meet the requirements of the organization's automobile insurance company; Ability to organize work schedule for maximum use of time; Ability to lift and stack heavy cartons, etc. (i.e.: up to 40 pounds). Ability to correctly and effectively communicate in written and oral English; Command of Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin or Vietnamese. (preferred). Job specifications Reports to the Nutrition Program Packer; Temporary (two to six month duration) with no benefits; Non-exempt, part-time; Five-hour workday; Four-day work week; Limited evening or weekend hours may be Organization-wide winter break; Limited evening or weekend work may be required; Employment, responsibilities, compensation and other factors may be affected by changes in governmental regulations, the organization's contracts, or at the organization's discretion. Salary $19.83 - $26.44 per hour (candidates should anticipate receiving an offer within the first quartile of the salary range).
