Duties Progressive Care is currently seeking employees to work with special needs children. The job duties include providing supervision, preparing light snacks, and assisting some children with their bathroom needs. We offer a great work environment for our staff. If you are interested in this position or would like more information, please let us know. Experience No prior experience working with special needs children necserry, we train. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices are welcomed. Demonstrate the ability to work in classroom supervision, and support students with diverse needs including those with disabilities or autism. Experience using educational technologies and tutoring or mentoring skills to assist student learning. Familiarity with special education requirements, educational compliance standards like ESSA, and classroom experience in private or public school environments is advantageous. Strong communication skills for effective parent communication and teamwork within collaborative teaching environments. Certification in first aid and CPR is a plus; ongoing training in childhood development or behavior management is beneficial for success in this role. Be able to pass a background check.
