Job Description

The teacher assistant is responsible for supporting the lead teacher in all aspects of the classroom including ensuring the wellbeing and safety of children at all times, supporting each individual child's social, emotional and cognitive growth, helping to implement curriculum activities, and setting up the environment. Our ideal candidate would be someone who is interested in learning and growing with our program, has a background in child development and preferably some work experience. Someone who displays a friendly and nurturing disposition and enjoys working with 2 -5 year olds. They should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and be able to interact positively with children, colleagues, and administration. A minimum of 6 ECE units completed or currently in progress is required. Experience in a preschool setting through work experience or practicum is a plus. This is a 5 day, part-time position with the possibility for growth.
