The Kitchen staff will assist in food preparation, cooking, and maintaining a clean kitchen environment. Duties Assist with food preparation and cooking to ensure timely delivery of nutritious meals Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to maintain hygiene standards Support menu planning efforts by preparing ingredients and organizing kitchen supplies Serve meals to participants with friendly, professional customer service Help with kitchen cleanliness, including dishwashing, sanitation, and equipment maintenance Collaborate with dietary department staff to accommodate special dietary needs and restrictions Participate in catering events or special meal programs as needed to enhance community engagement Skills Previous experience in a hospital or nursing home kitchen environment is preferred Strong food handling and safety knowledge, including proper knife skills and meal preparation techniques Experience in food service environments such as restaurants or catering is beneficial Familiarity with menu planning and culinary practices Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and customer interaction Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in working in a health care center. When you are not engaged in kitchen duties, you will be trained to work as a program aide, assisting the program participants in various activities.
