Job Description
Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make an immediate impact supporting students as a contract paraprofessional, working one-on-one in a dynamic school environment. This rewarding onsite position will allow you to provide dedicated guidance to a 10th-grade student with moderate to severe behavioral needs. You'll play a crucial role in the student's daily routine, both in and out of the classroom—including accompanying them on bus rides—while building meaningful rapport and promoting positive outcomes. What we're seeking: Experience as a paraprofessional in school settings Previous work supporting students with behavioral challenges, preferably in mod/severe environments Ability to commit full-time, 35 hours each week, through June 2027 Willingness and ability to ride the bus to and from school with the student as needed Strong communication skills and collaborative spirit Highly desirable: Fluency in Mandarin Patience, adaptability, and a genuine commitment to student success Key responsibilities: Provide one-to-one support for a high school student during the school day Assist with classroom engagement, activities, and transitions Implement and follow individualized behavior plans under the guidance of school teams Accurately document student progress and observations Encourage social, academic, and daily living skill development Support transportation needs by riding the bus with the student Maintain a positive and professional relationship with school staff, student, and family This position offers the chance to collaborate with educators and make a difference every day in a supportive environment.
