As a contract paraprofessional, you'll be an essential part of the classroom environment in a vibrant school community near Daly City, CA, for the Extended School Year (ESY) program. Flexibility is key—assignments cover Pre-K through County Programs, with shifts varying by age group from mid-June to mid-July.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

One of the following: Associate's degree or higher, 48 college units plus high school diploma, passing CBEST plus high school diploma, or passing the Instructional Aide Exam plus high school diploma. Relevant SPED paraprofessional certifications or licenses (share any you hold with your application). Ability to assist with or willingness to learn specialized health and behavioral care (training provided for certain positions). CPR and First Aid certification strongly preferred; may be funded. Experience with sign language, Braille, or nursing is highly valued. Must be a collaborative team player, adaptable to a range of student needs and classroom assignments. Ability to lift, support students, and stand for extended periods, if needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct support to students with a variety of needs, including personal care, feeding, mobility, and classroom participation. Collaborate with educators, therapists, and staff to foster an inclusive, supportive classroom community. Engage with training as needed for health and safety procedures and behavioral supports. Maintain a flexible, open-minded approach to daily assignments and student interactions. This is a contract opportunity offering competitive hourly pay between $50-$55, with schedules Monday through Friday and major holidays off.
