Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Empower a young learner's educational journey as a dedicated 1:1 instructional aide for an enthusiastic 2nd grade student. This rewarding, part-time contract opportunity places you at the heart of personalized support, helping a student grow both academically and socially in a vibrant scholastic setting near Davis, CA. Your guidance and encouragement can truly make a lasting difference—one day at a time.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
  • Prior experience as a paraprofessional or instructional aide, ideally within elementary settings
  • Familiarity with individualized educational strategies and accommodations
  • Ability to build rapport with children and collaborate with teachers and support staff
  • Strong communication skills, patience, and adaptability
  • Commitment to following school and district policies and maintaining confidentiality
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support a single 2nd grade student during classroom activities, transitions, and social interactions
  • Implement teacher-provided or individualized plans to reinforce lessons and learning objectives
  • Assist with fostering positive behavioral and social-emotional growth
  • Adapt your approach based on the student's needs throughout the day
  • Maintain daily logs or notes to track progress and collaborate with educators and families
Schedule Details:
  • Part-time, four hours daily: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday (11:45 AM - 3:45 PM)
  • Wednesdays run on an early-release schedule, with four consecutive hours tailored to the school's adjusted day.
