Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a paraprofessional making a positive difference in a student's educational journey. This position, starting as soon as possible and extending tentatively through late December 2026, is designed for a compassionate, skilled individual ready to provide dedicated 1:1 support in a school setting near Fairfield, CA. The role is initially to cover maternity leave, with the possibility of extension based on future needs.
Key Qualifications:
Previous experience as a paraprofessional in a school environment preferred Ability to build rapport while supporting students with individualized needs Professionalism, reliability, and genuine passion for helping others succeed Credentialed candidates strongly encouraged to apply and will be given priority Strong communication and collaboration skillsPrimary Responsibilities:
Work in a 1:1 capacity with an assigned student to support their day-to-day academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development Assist teachers and other staff in implementing and adjusting instructional plans and accommodations Provide encouragement, guidance, and supervision throughout the school day Document student progress and communicate observations to the educational team Foster a supportive, safe, and respectful learning environment This contract role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact while gaining valuable experience in special education and classroom support.
