Description:
The Co-Teacher is responsible for collaborating with other Co-Teacher(s) and Lead Teacher in order to ensure the safety, quality, and standards of their assigned classroom. The CT shall adhere to all applicable laws and regulations pertinent to the program.Responsibilities:
Collaborate with and assist the Lead Teacher with the following: Facilitates culture of safety, belonging, and growth in the classroom Monitor, play, and constantly engage with students in the classroom Engage in active relationship-building with families and students Implements PBL Curriculum and accommodates, modifies, and or extends as needed Diaper students as needed Maintains individualized action plans assigned by Director of Special Education Assume responsibility of Point Person if asked bySite Supervisor and Program Director:
Support Lead Teacher during a preparation period Collaborate with Lead Teacher closely on operations in the classroom Attend all in-service trainings and meetings Promote active parent involvement Complete 21 professional growth hours per year Perform other duties as assigned by theSite Supervisor or Program Director/Coordinator Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of Teacher Permit, and/or Associate Teacher Permit issued by the Commission on Teaching Credentialing Minimum of High School Diploma or GED Currently pursuing A.A. Degree or higher in Child Development-related field Agency-approved physical examination recordsProof of Immunizations:
Influenza, pertussis, and measles or a medical waiver as per Health & Safety Code 1596.7995 effective September 1, 2016Background Check and Fingerprinting Records Proof of Driver's License Physical Requirements:
Standing for extended periods of time, kneeling, bending, pushing and pulling Lift up to 40 Pounds Speaking and hearing to exchange information Reports to (Chain-of-Command) : 1) Lead Teacher → 2) Site Supervisor Assistant → 3) Site Supervisor → 4)Program Director Supervises:
