As a paraprofessional, you will work closely under the guidance of a vision specialist and RSP teacher to ensure the students safety, assist with access to the curriculum, and provide specialized braille support. This is a part-time contract position located near Galt, CA, ideal for those looking to dedicate their mornings to meaningful, student-focused work.

Key Experience and Skills:

Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a school support role preferred Comfortability or interest in learning braille, with training provided as needed Ability to maintain a safe and encouraging environment for students with special needs Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially with instructional staff and specialists Patience, empathy, and a commitment to helping young learners thrive Ability to follow direction and implement accommodations as established by specialists

Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one support to a kindergarten student with visual impairment during morning hours Assist with daily classroom activities and transitions to ensure the students safety Implement braille materials and learning supports under the direction of the vision specialist Collaborate with the RSP teacher to reinforce instructional goals and modify tasks as needed Foster an inclusive, supportive learning atmosphere that promotes student independence
