NOTICE OF JOB OPENING TITLE
Special Education Aide � Category E.3 (two to one 2nd grade Aide) Chapman Elementary School
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Meets Highly Qualified Requirements Demonstrated interest in children and education. Evidence of emotional maturity and stability. Experience in working with special needs children preferred. Ability to encourage positive student behavior. Knowledgeable in behavior management, techniques and data collection. Such additional qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
REPORTS TO
Principal and Teacher
JOB GOAL
Work closely with students to provide positive behavioral, emotional, and instructional support so students may progress toward goals.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrate appropriate school and work behaviors. Assists ancillary and certified staff in planning, delivery, and evaluation of services and instruction. Contributes in the development of IFSP and IEP for students. Contribute to management and modification of student positive behavior plan. Performs specialized instructional, healthcare, therapeutic and self help activities. Keep accurate records as required. Demonstrate knowledge, skills, and abilities to assist student growth. Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the teacher and principal.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Student Days Only Full Day � 8:30 am - 4:00 pm Monday - Friday (7.50 hrs/day ; 37.50 hrs/week) E3 starting wage is $16.67/hr. No Health or Life Insurance Benefits with this position. Email To A Friend Print Version
