Job Description
Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract An educational service district requires over 50 Bus Aides to support students during transportation for the remainder of the 2025/2026 school year. These contract positions will primarily serve the Denver, CO area, including Northern Denver and its surroundings. Work schedule consists of approximately 3 hours per day, totaling 15 hours per week. Shifts include 90 minutes in the morning and 90 minutes in the afternoon, with times generally between 6:30 AM and 8:30 AM for morning pick-up and 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM for afternoon drop-off. The assignment runs from January 5, 2026, through May 29, 2026, with potential Extended School Year (ESY) work and likely continuation into the 2026/2027 school year. Key responsibilities include riding the bus with special needs students to ensure a safe and supportive environment during transportation. A Bus Aide will accompany the bus driver on the morning route to collect the student from home and transport them to school, and repeat the process in reverse at dismissal. Candidates should have experience working with special needs children and possess verbal de-escalation skills. Previous experience riding the bus with a student is preferred.
Qualifications and desired experience:
