Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful role supporting students as a Paraprofessional in the beautiful Mt. Shasta area. This exciting contract opportunity offers the chance to collaborate closely with both teachers and students, providing essential support in educational settings. With 30 hours per week, you'll create real impact within the Siskiyou County Office of Education. We're seeking two dedicated individuals to bring their positivity and strong sense of teamwork to this essential role.
Ideal candidates possess:
Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar support position within schools Familiarity with individualized education programs (IEPs) and supporting students of varied abilities Excellent communication, patience, and interpersonal skills The ability to follow teacher directions and adapt to students' diverse needs A proactive and compassionate approach to fostering a positive learning environment Reliability and a strong collaborative spirit Key responsibilities include: Assisting classroom teachers in delivering instructional support and accommodating classroom activities Working one-on-one or with small groups of students, providing academic or behavioral guidance Supporting students with special needs as directed by teaching staff Helping maintain an inclusive, organized, and positive classroom atmosphere Encouraging student engagement and promoting independence Contributing to documentation, observation, and reporting as needed This position offers a fulfilling opportunity to make a difference for students near Grenada, CA, while enjoying the unique natural beauty of the Mt.
