Every assignment looks a little different: some are general inclusion classrooms, others call for close 1:1 behavior support with students who have moderate to severe needs. Wherever you land, the heart of the job is the same. You're there so a student can show up, learn, and feel supported, day after day. What You'll Do Each Day Be there for your student(s): Provide 1:1 or small-group support to students with IEPs in inclusion, resource, or moderate/severe classrooms or other learning environments, working under the direction of the Principal and alongside the certificated teacher.
Help with the everyday stuff:
Support transitions, restroom breaks, and lunchroom routines so the school day flows smoothly.
Open doors to learning:
Help students access grade-level instruction right alongside their peers.
Bring calm and consistency:
Understand, implement, and model positive, student-centered behavior support plans, and step in gently when a student needs help de-escalating or staying safe.
Keep everyone in the loop:
Track and share observable behavior and academic data with the classroom team.
Pitch in where needed:
Handle clerical and classroom tasks as the school team asks.
What You Bring Education:
A bachelor's degree.
Clearances:
You will need to complete a background check (Live Scan/fingerprinting) and quick TB risk assessment. We reimburse your background check cost in your paycheck after your 10th day of teaching.
Experience:
Familiarity with positive behavior support strategies is a big plus.
Specialized experience:
If you've supported non-verbal students or students who need 1:1 behavior support, that experience will serve you well in some of these assignments.
Heart:
Patience, flexibility, and a steady, growth-minded way of showing up for kids. Whatever your background, if you care deeply about meeting students where they are, we'd love to hear from you.
Where You'll Work & Your Schedule Location:

You'll learn the specifics of your classroom, grade level, and student needs before or when you check in on day one.

Free training resources to help you grow your confidence in the classroom.
