Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Support a student's growth and learning every school day in a rewarding contract role as a 1:1 Paraprofessional. This position is dedicated to working closely with a 10th grade male student who presents moderate to severe behavioral needs. Located in a vibrant educational setting, you'll play a vital part in helping him thrive academically and socially, while making a meaningful difference. Your day will be spent entirely onsite, contributing 35 hours per week during the academic year. The assignment runs until June 1, 2027, providing long-term stability and the opportunity to build a strong rapport with the student and school staff. Bus riding with the student is also required to ensure consistent support throughout the day.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Experience as a paraprofessional supporting students with behavioral or special needs Familiarity with supporting students exhibiting moderate to severe behaviors Ability and willingness to provide 1:1 support and ride the bus with the student Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators and families Highly preferred: Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards student development
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct, individualized support to one high school student Implement strategies to encourage positive behavior and engagement Assist with academic activities and social integration throughout the school day Monitor progress and collaborate with classroom staff to adapt supports as needed Ensure safety and consistency by accompanying the student on bus rides Here's your chance to have a lasting impact in a well-supported school environment.
