In-person at school sites in Inglewood Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Instructional Assistant (IA) to support our educational team in fostering a positive learning environment for students. This role involves working closely with teachers to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes, particularly in literacy development and behavior support. This role is similar to the roles: paraprofessional, classroom support, or classroom aid. Qualifications 6 Months experience working with children in an educational setting Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to manage classroom dynamics and promote positive behavior Passion for education and a commitment to student success Key Responsibilities Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and instructional activities tailored to individual student needs Support literacy education by helping students with reading, writing, and comprehension Mentor and guide students to promote a positive attitude toward learning Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management strategies Work with students one-on-one or in small groups to reinforce classroom concepts Collaborate with teachers to assess student progress and adjust instructional methods Support special education initiatives for students requiring additional assistance Foster a nurturing, respectful, and curiosity-driven classroom environment About Club Xcite Club Xcite is a California-based organization that provides personalized academic, social, emotional, and behavioral support to students from early childhood through college.
