Role:
Join the Inclusive Learning Partners team! As a certified Nonpublic Agency (NPA) in California, we are dedicated to providing inclusive, compassionate, and high-quality educational support across the state. We are currently hiring a Paraeducator to work 1:1 or in a classroom setting with students who have severe disabilities. This role is essential in supporting classroom teachers and delivering individualized educational services aligned with each student's learning and behavioral goals.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or higher in education or related field preferred Minimum 6 months of experience supporting individuals with severe disabilities (e.g., as a Paraprofessional, Behavioral Technician, ABA Therapist, Babysitter, Camp Counselor, etc.) Familiarity with behavior support strategies, special education practices, and personal care needs Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills Ability to lift and assist students with physical needs as necessary Must be comfortable assisting with toileting and diapering for students of any age Must be willing to undergo a criminal background clearance and Livescan fingerprinting through the California Department of Justice and FBI. TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable Willingness to complete all necessary ILP and state mandated trainings during onboarding
Key Responsibilities:
Instructional Support Support delivery of individualized instruction based on teacher-developed plans Assist students in developing academic, social, and life skills Utilize varied instructional techniques as directed by the teacher Behavioral Support Follow individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a BCBA Provide 1:1 or small group support Document behavior trends and student responses Personal Care and Health Support Assist with daily living needs such as toileting, grooming, and feeding Provide physical assistance and supervision to ensure student safety Carry out medical procedures or administer medication when trained and authorized Classroom Management Help maintain a clean, organized, and supportive learning environment Set up materials and equipment for daily use Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and school staff to support students Record Keeping Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in tracking attendance, behaviors, and progress Prepare instructional and support materials as needed Employee Perks and Benefits Weekly pay via direct deposit Medical, Dental, Vision, Life & Chiropractic Insurance Paid Sick Time & Holidays 401(k) retirement plan Referral bonuses Supportive, responsive team (Benefits eligibility may vary depending on employment status) Why Work With ILP?
