Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract A school district near Inglewood, CA is seeking a dedicated professional to serve as a Registered Behavior Technician for the remainder of the 25/26 academic year. This is a full-time, contract role running from April 13, 2026, through June 11, 2026. The primary focus will be providing 1:1 support to a student with significant behavioral challenges, creating a positive and structured environment. The district expresses a preference for male candidates.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required Experience as a paraprofessional, ideally within a school setting Demonstrated expertise in supporting students with intensive behavioral needs Ability to work patiently and effectively on a 1:1 basis Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with staff and families Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to school protocols High degree of adaptability, resilience, and compassion
Responsibilities:
Provide consistent 1:1 behavioral support and implement individualized behavior intervention plans Monitor and document student progress, behaviors, and interventions Collaborate with classroom teachers, behavioral specialists, and other staff Offer proactive and reactive support to manage challenging behaviors Maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment Assist with academic and social skills as outlined in the student's plan Communicate regularly with the care team regarding progress and concerns This opportunity offers a chance to make a tangible impact on the life of a student while developing valuable skills in behavior support.
