9672641-95640 Job Description Make a meaningful impact by supporting a kindergarten student with visual impairment in a caring, educational setting. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with a dedicated team of educators in a part-time, one-on-one role.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individualized assistance to a kindergarten student with visual impairment during morning classroom activities Ensure student safety throughout the school environment, both in and outside the classroom Support braille learning activities and materials, following guidance from the vision specialist and RSP teacher Assist with mobility, classroom transitions, and basic academic tasks as directed Help foster independence and confidence for the student within a nurturing framework Communicate regularly and effectively with classroom teachers, specialists, and school staff regarding progress and needs

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar educational support role is highly desirable Familiarity with supporting students with visual impairments or willingness to learn and adapt quickly Basic understanding of braille or readiness to receive on-the-job training to assist with braille materials Ability to maintain a positive and patient demeanor when working with young children Demonstrated flexibility and collaboration skills when working as part of an educational team High school diploma or equivalent required; additional relevant coursework or certifications is a plus This part-time assignment runs from 7:55am to 11:30am, Monday through Friday, and provides a pay rate of $23+ per hour.
