Key Qualifications:
Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) is essential Previous experience working with elementary students is highly valued Passion for helping students succeed academically and socially Strong communication and collaboration skills No EIPA credential required for this role
Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one ASL interpretation and behavioral support to an elementary-aged student throughout the school day Facilitate effective communication between the student, teachers, and peers Assist with classroom activities, assignments, and transitions to help encourage participation and engagement Implement the student's individualized education plan under the guidance of the classroom teacher and special education staff Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
