Key Qualifications & Experience:

Prior experience as a school paraprofessional preferred Familiarity with supporting students with visual impairments, especially at the kindergarten level, is highly valued Basic understanding of Braille, or a willingness to learn on the job Strong communication and collaboration skills to work under the guidance of specialized staff Patience, flexibility, and a commitment to student safety Ability to manage a structured morning schedule

Role Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 support to a kindergarten student, ensuring a safe and encouraging learning environment Assist with Braille materials and learning activities as directed by the vision specialist and RSP Teacher Monitor student participation, engagement, and well-being throughout the morning routine Communicate regularly with classroom teachers and specialists regarding student progress and strategies Help facilitate transitions and access to resources within the classroom and school environment This part-time opportunity runs Monday through Friday from 7:55 am to 11:30 am, offering a consistent, family-friendly schedule. Compensation starts at $23 per hour or higher, reflecting your skills and dedication in this specialized support role.
